Scientific Therapy is a new approach for treating conditions from head to toe. Using NASA developed technology, patients
receive pain-free, comfortable electrical stimulation therapy in our office. Patients sit in a comfortable chair for 1
hour, 3-4 times a week, and receive VST® e-stim therapy.
Our goal at Scientific Therapy is to resolve your condition without medication or surgery. New technology developed by NASA, the only of its kind, produces results for numerous conditions. This technology separates itself from others by its "ideal waveform". The NASA engineering team created this waveform to mimic the human body's natural waveform.
The body responds to the electrical stimulation by increasing blood flow to the area 10 times the baseline, after 30 minutes. This concentrates the body's healing ability to any part of the body. This new waveform is so perfect it's now used by all current external defibrillators--the devices used to shock a heart back into rhythm during a typical heart attack.
Taking this NASA technology & adding artificial intelligence, the VST Myodynamic device was created. Scientific Therapy exclusively uses the VST device to treat all of our patients.
Who can benefit from Therapy?
There are 3 big categories of patients who will benefit from VST therapy.
First are peripheral neuropathy ( PN ) patients. A recently published article by Dr. Abdo & Dr. Walker in Podiatry Today, April 2008 issue, shows that for the first time PN can be successfully treated without surgery or medication with great results. The 40 patient retrospective analysis shows an 83% pain reduction and 86% overall improvement. Results stated by patients include: less pain, improved balance, a decrease or elimination of PN medication taken, improved sensation in the feet & legs, improved quality of sleep, and overall vast improvement in quality of life. These results were long-lasting.
The second group of patients are those who have suffered an injury. Sprains, strains, tendonitis, neuromas, plantar fasciitis, closed fractures, migraines, and post-op patients all benefit from VST therapy provided by Scientific Therapy. Using this new NASA technology to focus the body's natural healing process on the injured area, patients have noticed the following changes: healing time is sped up, decrease in pain, decrease in swelling, and can eliminate the need for surgical repair.
The third group of patients are those who suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Along with exercises to keep the Carpal Tunnel from re-occurring, the VST therapy restores nerves in a few weeks, without invasive surgery.
